AeroEx SMS - Safety Management Solutions

A safety management system is a series of defined, organization-wide processes that provide for effective risk-based decision-making relating to your daily business.

What does the SMS focus on?
SMS focuses on maximizing opportunities to continuously improve the overall safety of the
aviation system.

What are the key processes of an SMS?

Business aviation tailored FRMS Seminar

Fatigue Risk Management Systems (FRMS) seminar to be held July 26 and 27, 2010 in our Training Center in Buchs, Switzerland.

Living and working in the 21st century can be quite exhausting?
The pace and workload of individuals have risen significantly over the last couple of years and the resulting risks to your business operations and employees increase, as well. Thus, AeroEx will be, once again, offering its Fatigue Risk Management Systems (FRMS) seminar on July 26 and 27, 2010, in its Training Center in Buchs, Switzerland.  The purpose of this seminar is to provide the  attendees with the necessary background to develop, implement and maintain their FRMS.

The seminar lecturer, Capt. Claudio Caceres, has an extensive knowledge of this subject and is currently conducting a Fatigue Factors Survey on behalf of the European Business Aviation Association.

What are the benefits you can gain from an FRMS?
An FRMS should be implemented into an organization through a “win-win” approach, between the company and its staff. When we talk about staff it is because fatigue affects everybody in the company from flight and cabin crews to decision-makers, line managers, ground staff and technical staff. The main benefit is improved operational flexibility within an alternative compliance model legally defendable, based on current scientific evidence.
The organization, which is required to work around the clock, is bound by prescriptive regulations. These regulations are setting tight operational limitations and quite often do not take
human physiological limitations into account, thus confirming the statement that “legal operation does not necessarily mean safe operation”. An FRMS is intended to highlight operational risks and to advise the staff on how to get maximum benefit from fatigue risk management.
FRMS is a loss control measure in tune with your safety objectives. It can be fitted into your SMS and will allow you to monitor your overall safety performance.
